Yesterday, I submitted this painting for an Art Critique from the Rhode Island School of Design.
They accepted, and they’ll be uploading a video to youtube within the month. How cool is that?!
I was so thrilled to discover Art Prof!
This blog is a grant-funded resource run by Clara Lieu, a professor at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), one of the most prestigious art schools in America.
The program launched because the founder, and many of her students, experienced under-funded art programs in school.
This teaching resource is for them, but it’s also available to professionals and people like me with a life-long love of learning.

Check out the boggling info on this link!
- videos of art in progress
- blog posts about finding style
- advice for art teachers
- reviews for student art, including college portfolios
- I can’t even list it all here!
Mine will be featured as a “Crit Quickie” – a one minute youtube video, like this.
They also have ‘Crit Quads”, where four professors review a piece.
If you have work to submit, check out the guidelines. They accept submissions on the Facebook page for Clara Lieu.
They’re launching a new site, and you can keep up with their mailing list here.
